The Windelo 54 at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025
The Cannes International Yachting Festival is coming up fast, and one of the teams at the show we always enjoy catching up with is Windelo who will be exhibiting a Windelo 54 Yachting this year, with “Nordic Zen Harmony” interiors.
They’ll be sailing the new yacht from their Canet‑en‑Roussillon base to Port Canto in Cannes for the show which is open to visitors from 9–14 September 2025.

Why the Windelo 54 is Making Waves
Visiting the shows, we’ve seen our fair share of multihulls—but the Windelo 54 stands out. Designed by Christophe Barreau and Frédéric Neuman, this catamaran is 16.24 m in length, the bigger sister to the Windelo 50.
This translates into more performance, and spacious, comfortable interiors.
The modular nacelle is a key design feature of this eco-performance catamaran. Sliding doors open to merge the forward cockpit and saloon, enabling the skipper and crew to helm and socialize seamlessly. Aft, a tilting door or wide sliding doors open up the living space to a fold down terrace at anchor.
Under way, the terrace flips up and secures your tender, and the aft doors keep everyone safe inside.

Eco-Performance
These yachts are all about sustainable performance—and the Windelo 54 is an environmental market leader.
As well as sailing early in light conditions, the sleek exterior hides a hybrid electric system: two 20 kW Bellmarine electric motors powered by a 53.8 kWh lithium battery bank (1120 Ah, 48 V), recharged with up to 6000kW of peak solar, hydrogeneration from both props when sailing, and wind turbines as an additional optional extra.
At 6 knots under electric power online, you’ll enjoy nearly 4 hours of silent, clean motoring (covering 18 nm), with the diesel generator (or 2) as a reassuring backup that stretches total range to 1100 nm—enough to cross a third of the Atlantic if needed. And when you are sailing and/or the sun is shining you are recharging your battery bank.
Windelo’s ethos is to produce catamarans that balance performance, comfort, and eco-responsibility without compromise.

The “Nordic Zen Harmony” – A Design Dream
This year we are also looking forward to getting a first look at the new interior design packs, specifically the “Nordic Zen Harmony” of the Yachting pack, where light woods meet metallic or black accents for a modern, minimalist look.
Windelo offers two alternative harmonies—Blue Wave and Dolce Vela—for subtle blue accents or warmer, rich textures.

The design finish is paired with upgrades like blinds, curtains, high‑end stainless and matte‑black fittings, Miele appliances, electric toilets, and a folding gangway, luxury galley countertops and enhanced mattresses – comfort and style woven throughout.
Windelo DNA
Founded by Gautier and Olivier Kauffmann, the brand promotes sailing as an innovative, eco-conscious lifestyle. Their mission: blue-water catamarans built for adventure that respect the planet and look after the people aboard.
They walk the talk by manufacturing with basalt fibre and recycled PET foam reducing their carbon footprint by 47% compared to traditional fiberglass.
This is a yard that loves to engage with owners – with semi-custom layouts, modular spaces, and design flexibility.
