New Sailing Catamarans Shaping the Market in 2026
If you thought 2025 was a busy year for multihulls, then think again. 2026 is shaping up to be even bigger!
Here are some of the notable launches and designs planned for 2026 and beyond.
Balance 464
Carbon performance cruiser aimed at owner-operators who want fast passage speeds without going full “race boat”. Strong brand DNA: lightweight structure, daggerboards, and hybrid-ready packages are central to the design.

Balance 540
Flagship refresh, the 526 “evolved”: more volume, more power, carbon core structure that delivers fast bluewater voyaging with luxury-level fit-out. This is one of the more significant “performance-lux” product launches in 2026.
Black Pepper C.69
A strong competitor to the Gunboat 68 who are nevertheless launching two new models this year (see below).

C-Cat 56
Italian performance-cruiser: sleek styling, daggerboards: a fast, elegant, design-led build.
Catana
Catana is hinting at a range extension – they are going longer, based on the successful Ocean Class platform. Let’s see.
Cure 48
A lightweight, carbon-reinforced performance cruising cat, with racing credibility (McConaghy are now partners) and positioned against HH/Outremer. A highly anticipated extension to the range which includes the Cure 55.

Cure 68
Announced alongside the Cure 48 as part of Cure’s line expansion. Larger, premium performance-cruiser for owners stepping up into the big league.
Dazcat 1500
Performance-focused British multihull manufacturers. Here moving into accessible-fast-cruising territory. Can be adapted for wheelchair users.

Fountaine Pajot FP44
The new-generation 44 is positioned as a modern bluewater family cruiser: big volume, updated styling, and “mainstream premium” appeal. It’s part of FP’s accelerated product cycle heading into 2026. Now available with hybrid-electric.
Fountaine Pajot Sailing Catamarans
Fountaine Pajot FP48
An upcoming 2026 model, a key replacement slot in the range. High-volume cruising cat with a more contemporary layout, targeted at owners and charter fleets wanting the latest platform.
Fountaine Pajot FP55
A major step for FP: their first flybridge cat in this size bracket, with a strong emphasis on large social spaces and big living spaces.

Fountaine Pajot 70 / 110
Large sailing catamaran launches. FP are moving further into the luxury segment with these new yachts.
Gunboat 72
High-performance luxury cat platform with variants (including “Explorer” and flybridge configurations). A new benchmark for the industry.

Gunboat Fusion 80
The new “Fusion” sub-brand, designed to broaden Gunboat’s appeal with a “Gran Turismo” lifestyle with the performance you would expect from a Gunboat. It’s built to compete in the luxury performance-cruising bracket where speed meets volume.
HH56
A carbon, performance-luxury cat with electrification/hybrid design. The extension of the successful HH44 and HH52.

Holld 74
Luxury build from the Netherlands.
Kinetic K6
The evolution of the KC62 with 2 lengths on offer.

Teased as a new model announcement from Lagoon at the end of 2025. The “sweet spot” volume cruising cat for owners and charter operators, an evolution of the Lagoon 46.
McConaghy Panther 48
High-concept, eco-performance catamran with hybrid-electric propulsion, lightweight design, and a futuristic positioning. Likely to be niche.

Another stunning looking design in the performance catamaran segment from Italy. The market is heating up!

Nautitech 41 Type S
One of the big splashes of the year. A 2026 launch: positioned as a lighter, sportier, modular yacht in the entry sporty-cruiser segment. The successor to the classic Open 40 that will “sail better than most 40–42ft cruising cats” and still offer great comfort.

NYX 42C
Design-led 42ft cat marketed with modern styling and smart living.
ORC 52.2
Performance bluewater royalty – the evolved 50 designed and built under the Grand Large Yachting umbrella.
Outremer 48
Splashing in 2026, this model is highly anticipated. As of now, Outremer will continue the much loved 45 in the range. The 48 is the modern evolution of Outremer’s “fast, safe bluewater” cats with more comfort and volume than older models.

Outremer 57 / 64
New larger models (the 57 replaces the 55) that define Outremer’s premium fast-cruising positioning. These are boats for serious passagemakers: lighter, efficient sailing and liveaboard functionality.
Punch 1710LC
A niche but with an interesting angle: wood/epoxy build with a practical cruising proposition. For buyers who value robust, repairable construction and a simpler, value design.
Rapido 63
The new flagship trimaran from Rapido. High-speed passagemaking with trimaran efficiency, aimed at performance-oriented owners.
Seawind 1270
