Sponsored by Gunboat, this regatta has established itself as one of the main events for 50-foot-plus performance cruising multihulls, combining tight competition with the glamorous backdrop of Port Adriano marina.

Sailing enthusiasts, teams, and fans are buzzing with anticipation as these breathtaking vessels prepare to do what they do best—sail fast, sail smart, and race to the line.

A Fleet with Wow Factor

With the fleet fully assembled, the 2025 Multihull Cup will be a showcase of multihull sailing innovation and skill. From seasoned contenders to ambitious newcomers, the lineup this year exemplifies the cutting-edge in sector. The event, running from September 26th to 28th, combines coastal and windward-leeward races designed to test the crews’ and vessels’ capabilities. The race around the Mallorcan coastline also offers some breathtaking scenery—one of the many reasons why Mallorca remains the home for this high-octane regatta.

Among the fleet, returning champions compete for supremacy. The likes of Gaea, the Morrelli & Melvin-designed 66 footer, and the Gunboat 72 Layla, with her striking blue hulls and a flybridge alongside a high-performance rig plan with a carbon wing mast.. Equally notable is Falcon, the unique F4 foiling catamaran from Holland Composites, a design project involving DNA Performance and the America’s Cup winning sailor Shannon Falcone.

Then there is Allegra, the Nigel Irens designed 84-footer which is no stranger to the Multihull Cup. A winner in 2021 she was runner-up last year.

2024 Edition

Deluxe Port Adriano

One of the defining features of the Multihull Cup is its location. Port Adriano, on Mallorca’s southwest coast, offers the perfect base for a regatta of this calibre. The marina itself is a style icon, providing the ideal staging ground in the Mediterranean’s crystal-clear waters. The race starts line is almost directly outside the marina entrance, allowing spectators an close view of the fleet as they launch into competition.

The Unique Spirit of the Multihull Cup

Unlike many regattas that cater to monohulls or smaller classes, the Multihull Cup celebrates the beauty and performance of large cruising multihulls. These yachts are the fastest in their category and are marvels of engineering and design, pushing the boundaries in naval architecture.

The Road Ahead

As the 2025 Multihull Cup gets underway, with the fleet primed for racing and the skies above Mallorca promising a variety of conditions, one thing is certain—the event is a celebration of multihull sailing.

This year the regatta is sponsored by Gunboat. Stay tuned for what promises to be three unforgettable days of multihull racing.
