Refurbished between 2010 and 2012 for the Mediterranean climate and with many upgrades since.

Stripped her out completely between 2010 and 2012, refurbished her for the Mediterranean climate.

Aft Cockpit

Solid fibreglass bimini roof over cockpit, with 3 x 100 watt solar panels.
Bimini roof is dished to catch rainwater which is drained off through tubes on port and starboard sides, so can be saved into containers when on a long passage.

Zipped canvas which can totally enclose cockpit, or can be totally unzipped to open cockpit for ventilation.
Canvas is 90% clear plastic.
Cockpit seats have full length foam cushions.

Removable table fastened to engine hatch.
Two chrome legs,fittings and plywood top to fit new saloon table.

Ground Tackle

2 x 20kg Bruce anchors.
30 metres x 8mm galvanised anchor chain with 20 metres multi ply warp.
Lots of spare warps.
Lofrans Tigress electric anchor winch which can be controlled from bows or steering console.

4 large mooring cleats. One on each corner with full sizes backing plates.
Large backing plates to base of stanchions.
Anchor locker and storage locker on forward deck.
Storage locker contains 15 litre butane cylinder and quay warps with spring plus spare genoa and sea anchor, and 20 litre diesel plastic jerry can.

Hull

Keels encased with stainless steel shoes and turned up about 30cm on front of keels, fitted 2012.
1 x 1kg anode to each hull.
Bows sheathed with 4mm thick stainless steel from water line to underside of rubbing strake.
Rubbing strake “U” shaped black rubber.

No external timber to maintain except for companionway door and frame.

Hinged stainless steel arch on aft deck to hoist tender onboard.

Living Space

Eberspacher warm air diesel heater in cupboard aft starboard cabin new 2011.
Air exits under steps in both hulls.

Saloon has “U” shaped settee which can be used as two single beds.
Two chrome legs, top and bottom fittings and plywood to install table in saloon.

Aft cabins Port and starboard have been used as doubles, but are more comfortable as singles.
1 metre wide at head of bed. Bed is 100mm thick foam with storage underneath.

Cabins have wardrobe, storage cupboard with one shelf and one shelf against cockpit bulkhead.
3 windows, one sliding in cockpit bulkhead, one fixed to outside of hull, one opening to aft deck bulkhead.

Forward of this storage area is a 25 litre hot water cylinder.
All water pipes are plastic with push fit connectors new when refurbish took place.

Water heated by engine cooling or 240 volt electric when on shore power.
Watertight bouyancy compartment under cylinder.
Pressurised 12 volt hot and cold fresh water system with pump under centre section of settee.

Catalyst is based in Puerto Pollenca NE Mallorca
One hour by bus from Palma airport. Regular air conditioned bus service 9 euros
Moored in a very sheltered bay.
Have my own mooring which is free of any fees.

Mooring block is concrete 1.5mt x 1.5mt x 30cm thick, weighs approx 1 tonne.
Mooring chain is 12mt x 10mm chain with swivel on top and nylon warps,chain renewed May 2022.
Mooring is in approx 2.5 metres of water, which being the Mediterranean, never goes out.

The depth varies mostly by atmospheric pressure, can drop by half metre.
Was on my mooring in the summer of 2020 and there was a violent storm. Someone displayed a photo on facebook of their wind instrument which showed gusts of 81 knots. It was a northerly wind which caused waves of about half metre high.

There are live aboards in the bay who stay on their mooring through the winter. I go into the harbour from November to end of May.
The harbour fees are 380 euros a month which includes water and electric neither are metered.

Catalyst’s insurance is due for renewal at the end of June.
Fully comprehensive for living on board is £560 for 12 months including Legal protection.

There is no stipulation to be in the harbour for a minimum amount of time
