Details

The Palma International Boat Show (PIBS) runs from April to May, normally hot on the heels of the International Multihull Show.

It is held at Marina Moll Vell, in the heart of Palma de Mallorca. It marks the official start of the Mediterranean yachting season and draws a broad cross-section of the industry to one of Europe’s best loved yachting cities. The 2026 edition features over 310 exhibitors and 600 boats.

The show is divided into three zones. Shipyards and Equipment and the Superyacht Village are based at Moll Vell, while the Superyacht New Build Hub is located at Marina Port de Mallorca, with land and sea transfers running every 30 minutes on a single ticket.

For catamaran buyers, PIBS is not a dedicated multihull show, but it does feature catamarans within the Shipyards and Equipment area alongside monohull sailing and motor yachts.

Sunreef Yachts is attending at Stand B32 and Mooring 601, with their team on hand to discuss their catamarans. Buyers in the larger, bespoke end of the market will find this useful.

For a broader catamaran market overview covering production cruising cats, the International Multihull Show at La Grande Motte is the more targeted event.

That said, PIBS has real value as a season opener. Palma is a serious yachting base with deep infrastructure in refit, brokerage, and technical support.

The show contributes around €21 million to the Balearic economy annually and reflects the city’s position as a hub for the industry. The backdrop of the old town, the cathedral, and the waterfront makes it a great visit even if you leave without signing anything.

Charter

If you are looking to charter a catamaran in Mallorca, there are plenty of companies at the show who will help you covering both the luxury segment and the crusing segment. Head to the Equipment and Services section.
