The Nautitech 40 Open is a very seaworthy boat thanks to that low boom and hulls shaped by Marc Lombard. She really comes into her own in the warm waters of the Med with a nice steady breeze blowing.

With those aft helms, the saloon and aft cockpit opens up into one big living space and she makes a great platform for fun at anchor on charter. Overall, we love this compromise between living space and performance when compared to other cruising cats like the Lagoon 40. If you enjoy a sail as well as hanging out in crystal clear waters, then she is a great package.

From the helms you can keep an eye on the whole family when sailing and at anchor the living space is maximised. Our favourite spot is the nets in good conditions.

It’s a great configuration for warmer climes in particular. If the evening gets chilly, just roll down the clears in the aft cockpit and switch on the heating- there is a vent in the aft cockpit which heats up the back in no time.

That’s not something that you will need to do in the summer of course. With the saloon hatches open and the doors opened to the max, the breeze flows through the whole boat.

Here is an example of an EXPLORER version with the following configuration and upgrades. Check the individual boat details below for more detailed specifications on individual yachts.
